SNACK SMART

ABOUT THE PROJECT

SNACK SMART is a European information and promotion programme whose primary objective is to increase the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables in the European Union by informing consumers about balanced and healthy dietary practices.

The programme belongs to the fresh fruit and vegetables sector and promotes five emblematic European fresh fruits: peaches, nectarines, pears, plums and apricots.

Through a comprehensive programme of information and promotion activities in Germany and Spain, SNACK SMART aims to raise awareness of the quality, diversity and nutritional value of European fresh fruits, encourage their inclusion in a balanced daily diet and strengthen consumer confidence in the European Union’s food quality and safety system.

SNACK SMART is a three-year information and promotion programme, co-funded by the European Union, promoting five emblematic European fresh fruits: peaches, nectarines, pears, plums and apricots.
