Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026. Notice version 2.

This notice describes what happens to information when you visit eusnacksmart.eu. It describes what this website actually does, and nothing else: where a section says that something does not happen, that is a statement about how this website is built, not a general assurance.

Who is responsible for this website

The website eusnacksmart.eu belongs to the Agricultural Cooperative "Froutopigi" of Platanoulia, registered address Agia Sofia, Larissa 41500, Greece, VAT number 998576071. It is the organisation responsible for the processing described in this notice.

For questions about this website, or about personal data relating to you, write to marketing@eusnacksmart.eu. That is the address the campaign publishes for enquiries about this website; it is a campaign address, not a separate service operated by anyone else.

What this website does not do

It is worth being specific about this, because a great deal of standard privacy wording describes processing that this site does not carry out:

  • There are no user accounts and no registration for visitors.
  • There are no comments and no other way to submit content.
  • There are no contact forms, no newsletter and no mailing list.
  • There is no advertising, no advertising network, no remarketing, no cross-site tracking and no advertising identifier. Where the measurement tool described below offers advertising features, they are switched off in the website’s own configuration and are never switched on by a visitor’s choice.
  • There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.
  • No embedded third-party content is loaded into these pages — no embedded video player, no social media widget, no map, no external font service and no hosted comment service. Links to the campaign’s social media accounts are ordinary links: nothing is contacted until you follow one.
  • No information collected here is sold, and none is shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Audience measurement

This website can count visits using Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google. It is used for one purpose: to report how the campaign website is used, so that the campaign can account for its own reach.

Nothing is loaded and nothing is stored until you accept. When you first arrive, the measurement tool is not present in the page at all. No request is made to Google, no cookie is set by Google, and no signal of any kind — including a signal saying that you have not decided — is sent anywhere. Only if you choose Accept is the tool then loaded. If you choose Reject, or simply do not choose, it is never loaded.

The basis for this processing is your consent, which you give by choosing Accept and can withdraw at any time.

What is sent, if you accept

Once loaded, the tool sends Google a record of the page view. This includes the address of the page, its title, the page you came from, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type and language, screen size, and a randomly generated identifier stored in the cookies listed below, which allows repeat visits from the same browser to be recognised as one visitor.

Page addresses are cleaned before they are sent. This website removes the query string parameters it uses for previewing and for authentication from both the page address and the referring address before the measurement tool is allowed to load, so that an internal access link cannot be recorded by a third party. This is done on purpose and it is tested.

Google receives this information as a processor for the campaign. Requests observed from this website go to www.googletagmanager.com and to Google’s European collection endpoint. Whether, and where, Google transfers the data onward is determined by Google’s own terms and by the settings of the Analytics account; those account settings are administered by the campaign owner and have not been inspected in preparing this notice. The same applies to the retention period Google applies to the data, which is an Analytics account setting rather than something this website controls.

Who is not measured

Editorial and administrative sessions are excluded from measurement by default, so that the people building the site are not counted as its audience.

Cookies and similar technologies

These are all the cookies this website can set. No other storage of any kind — no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting — is used.

Changing or withdrawing your decision

Use the Measurement preferences control at the foot of every page. It reopens the notice, and the choice you make there replaces the previous one immediately.

Withdrawing consent does two things at once: measurement already running in the page is stopped straight away, without waiting for you to load another page, and the Google Analytics cookies listed above are deleted from your browser. Rejecting, or withdrawing, is remembered in exactly the same way as accepting, so you are not asked again on every page.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, and the site will continue to work normally. Nothing on this website depends on measurement.

Web server records

Independently of anything above, the web server keeps a technical access log of requests it serves, in the standard format: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the response, the referring address and the browser’s user-agent string. These records exist so that the service can be operated and secured, and they are kept for approximately 14 days before being rotated out. They are not used to build a profile of any visitor and are not combined with the measurement data described above.

Links to other websites

This site links to the campaign’s accounts on other platforms and to the national dietary-guideline sources named in the campaign material. Those sites are run by other organisations under their own privacy notices; this notice does not cover them.

Your rights

Under EU data-protection law you have rights over personal data relating to you, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority: the controller is established in Greece, so that is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr), and you may equally complain to the authority in your own country of residence or work, or where you believe the infringement took place.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact details in Who is responsible for this website above.

Changes to this notice

This notice is reviewed and updated whenever what the website does with information changes. The version number at the top is also recorded with your consent decision, so a decision given against an earlier version of this notice is not treated as a decision about a later one: if the purposes or the technologies change, you are asked again.

The consumer awareness questionnaire

This section qualifies two statements above. While the questionnaire described here is available to you, this website does offer a way to submit content: the questionnaire itself. It is not a contact form, there is still no newsletter and no mailing list, and nothing here asks for a way to reach you.

The questionnaire asks about awareness and perceptions of European fresh fruit. Its purpose is to let the campaign report on its own reach and effect. The organisation responsible is the one named in “Who is responsible for this website” above, and the same contact address applies.

What is stored is your answers, the language you answered in and the version of the questionnaire. Your IP address is not stored with your answers, no name, email address or telephone number is asked for, no full referring address or access link is recorded, and your answers are not sent to the audience-measurement tool, to any other organisation or to any public dashboard. Because no identifier is collected, a set of answers cannot be linked back to you — which also means a single response cannot be found and corrected or deleted on request.

Answers are kept for 36 months from the date they are given, after which they are reviewed and deleted unless they are still required in order to report on the campaign. They are reviewed and removed by hand; nothing on this website deletes them automatically.
